Abstract 11: Sleep practices implemented by team sport coaches and sport science support staff

By Ian Dunican

In our latest S4P audio abstract, we look at a new publication from the journal of science and medicine in sport titled “Sleep practices implemented by team sport coaches and sports science support staff: A potential avenue to improve athlete sleep?”.

Written by Kathleen Miles, the aim of the study was to assess sleep hygiene knowledge of high-performance team sport coaches and sports science support staff, the sleep practices they implement with athletes; and the barriers to the more frequent use of these practices. You can access Kathleen’s paper at the link here, along with some important information from the Sleep Health Foundation, on good sleep habits and how to achieve them!
